Teams of four Year 9 boys from Kirkby Stephen Grammar, Ullswater High, Appleby Grammar and Queen Elizabeth Grammar Schools competed in a Top Ten Tournament , all players playing each other. The players were seeded, creating two groups A and B of eight players, playing singles and scoring points for there school. Despite the lack of experience the games were close and competition very sporting. Kirkby Stephen were overall winners. Team A won their group, with Ben Lindridge coming first and Joss Livesey 3rd. In Group B, Kirkby Stephen came 2nd overall, with Mark Collis first and Tom Hynd fifth. Kirkby Stephen were presented with a plaque, and it is hoped the tournament will become an annual four-school event.
