A MAN had to be taken to hospital after an accident on the motorway as a lightning storm swept across South Lakeland last night.
The 63-year-old from Glasgow suffered slight wrist injuries after his Lexus car was involved in a collision with the central reservation on the southbound carriageway.
The accident at 7.44pm yesterday near Junction 38 at Tebay and the driver was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary by paramedics.
