A BODY found at Bolton-le-Sands on Morecambe Bay last weekend now seems certain to be that of the 21st victim of the Chinese cockling tragedy in February. A post mortem examination carried out on the badly decomposed body on Thursday, May 6, confirmed it was that of a man who had died from drowning.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Brunskill of Lancashire police said: "It is too early to give a positive identification, but we think we know who he is through documentation found on the body. I have spoken to colleagues in China and they will be visiting relatives to confirm that the 21st body has been found."
