A WAR memorial at Silverdale looks set for a £2,500 make over.
Silverdale Parish Council want to open the memorial garden to accommodate more people during remembrance services.
Chairman Terry Bond is in talks with contractors to renovate the area - which is situated behind the Methodist Church in the village.
“We want to reduce some of the flower beds and put in some new hedges,” he said.
“There’s a beautiful view over the fields to the hills so it’s the right place for contemplation and remembrance.”
