OPERATION Christmas Child is holding a coffee morning in Kendal Town Hall on Saturday, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
The charity, which is part of the Christian aid organisation Samaritans Purse, sends festive boxes bursting with gifts to poverty-stricken children in Eastern Europe and Africa.
As well as a coffee and chat there will be demonstrations of shoeboxes for all ages.
