THE walls, tables, seats, bar tops and even the alleyway of a Kendal bar were transformed as part of a national campaign to promote drawing.
Children and adults from across Cumbria sharpened their pencils and let their imagination run wild as they scrawled and sketched their masterpieces across almost every inch of Dickie Doodles.
The music bar held its second Big Pub Draw last weekend and organisers said it was an ‘excellent success’. “We were packed all the time,” said owner Shaun Bainbridge.
“We saw all kinds of people and had everything from animations to abstract and sketching. It was quite a big social event.”
The event was organised by Green Door studio art collective and formed part of the Big Draw event.
