The Dukes in Lancaster will mark the tenth anniversary of the death of Derek Jarman by screening Caravaggio (18) to open a new season of Artists on Screen' next week.
The beautifully composed film recounts the passionate life of the 17th Century painter, exploring the themes of homosexuality, violence and history.
Before the screening on Wednesday (March 3), visual arts development officer Louise Hesketh will talk about the film and the work of Jarman. Call the Dukes on 01524-598500 for more information.
