MANAGER Tony Hesketh has hit out at claims that he is not interested in using local players.
"If there are any players out there who want to be part of Kendal Town, I will look at them and see if they are good enough," he said.
"I have spoken to Kyle Hayton and David Foster and they are both still very much part of the set-up.
"In fact, after scoring two goals in Tuesday's practice against Fulwood Foster will be in the starting line-up on Saturday."
He added that anyone who had ideas for the club should not just sound off about it, but should approach him to discuss their ideas.
Hesketh said that last Saturday's 4-0 defeat by Guiseley scarcely did Town's effort justice.
"But we have to remain positive and look for a bit of luck to go in our direction," he said.
"I know that it is very difficult to generate interest when results are poor, but the club needs people to get down to Parkside on Saturday and get behind the team."
