LANCASTER and More-cambe people are being urged to leg it for the lifeboats'.
Runners are wanted to get in training now and raise money for the RNLI in the Blackpool Marathon and half marathon in June.
Lifeboats spokesman Lisa Cowen says anyone can join in and every mile they run could help dedicated lifeboat crews save lives at sea.
And its not just serious runners who are wanted Lisa is also looking for fun runners who would like to take up the challenge of running in lifeboat crew kit or beach wear.
Everyone who signs up to run for the RNLI will receive a free action pack with an equipment, training, nutrition and fundraising guide For more information about legging it for the lifeboats, call Lisa on 0161-787-8779 or send an e-mail to her at events_nw@rnli.org.uk
