EXPERTS from the Wild Trout Trust and the Grayling Society are heading for Kendal later this month for a seminar focusing on angling issues.
The ticket-only event is being held by the Environment Agency at the Castle Green Hotel on March 6 from 9.15am to 4.15pm.
The main topic for discussion will be the agency's recently-introduced Trout and Grayling Strategy. Other items on the agenda include coarse fisheries, the agency's fisheries, recreation activities and guidelines on the agency's fish stocking consent process. Debbie Davidson, spokeswoman for the Penrith-based agency, said: "It will be a very interesting day. The seminar is a great way for the agency and the angling community to share information and experiences. The agency will also highlight fisheries and recreation work completed in Cumbria last year."
Anyone who would like tickets must contact the agency by February 25 by calling 01768-866666 and asking for Debbie Davidson or Gill Watson.
