A CERAMIC mural celebrating Morecambe's beauty and wildlife is being created this weekend.
And project organisers are appealing for help from local people with the venture during a drop-in session between 11am and 2pm on Saturday.
Val Macconnell and Mary Ullrich, from Morecambe Healthy Living Centre, say materials will be provided.
The mural is part of a project inspired by Val and Mary's involvement in a conservation expedition with the inter-national environmental charity Earthwatch.
They aim to draw upon their experiences with Sri Lanka's temple monkeys to encourage local people to consider their surroundings and the need to protect it for future generations.
Val says: "The Healthy Living Centre is all about creating community spirit and the event is the perfect opportunity to do this. We hope it will give everyone who takes part a sense of belonging and achievement."
