A DIVERSE collection of work by art students is being showcased at the Dukes Gallery.

The show Tests, Traces and Tracks aims to reflect the talent of students at Lancaster and Morecambe school of art and design and is on display until March 18.

The exhibition displays work featuring a broad range of media and materials from photography and print making to drawing, collage and digital imaging.

All the pieces were produced in response to briefs designed to let students explore processes and ideas in a creative and often challenging way.

The diversity of work on display reflects the breadth of creativity of the college's visual arts department, says a spokesman.

Most of the students included in the exhibition have gone on to study degrees in subjects as varied as fashion and textiles, computer gaming, architectural glass, photo-journalism and transport design.

Admission to the exhibition is free and the gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 10pm.
