PUPILS from a South Lakeland school have become sports teachers as part of a national programme.
Sixth form students at The Lakes School, in Troutbeck Bridge, have attended a conference at the University of Cumbria where they learned to become ‘Step Out Leaders’.
The young people are now able to work in teams of four to help their teachers to plan, organise and stage a festival of sport or dance at their school, or within a feeder primary school.
