A BENTHAM man received a top prize in the National Business Awards, acknowledged by Chancellor Gordon Brown as the nation’s business Oscars.
Ian Brown of Dugdale Nutrition collected the Orange Award for bright business for its growth and success.
The family-owned business, based in Clitheroe, also picked up a highly commended certificate in the national customer focus category.
Dugdale Nutrition, claims to be the UK’s leading regional ruminant specialist and was the only agri-business to be recognised in the awards.
l A CARPET, floor coverings and furnishings business in Bentham has changed hands. Malcolm and Sally Preece have taken over Hash Brown’s in the main street, which was previously owned by Mike and Liz Brown. Mr Preece was previously an IT consultant who once worked for the former Provincial Insurance in Kendal.
