VISUALLY impaired people will notice a number of improvements at Kendal bus station thanks to South Lakeland District Council.
With the aim of improving safety and access, four large supporting pillars have been painted alternate black and yellow stripes, while two bold lines in yellow and white will mark the edge of the concourse where the buses stop.
Malcolm Fair, chief executive of the South Lakes Society for the Blind, who advised SLDC, welcomed the improvements.
