THREE motorcyclists received serious injuries after they collided with a car near Troutbeck Bridge.
A 47-year-old man from Accrington and a 47-year-old man from Blackburn remain in a stable condition at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary following the accident, which saw their Sazuki motorbikes crash into a Mercedes motorcar on the A591.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 49-year-old man from Duffield Belper in Derbyshire, and a 50-year-old woman from Accrington, who was a passenger on one of the motorbikes, were also taken to RLI but have been discharged.
Police, fire crews and the ambulance service attended the incident, which occurred at 4.15pm on Wednesday (April 15).
The road was closed for around four hours.
