Awareness Day - I was asked by the Chairman of Cumbria and North Lancashire Tenants and Residents Participation Forum Mr. Ron Prichard if I would attend their quarterly Confernence, which was to be held in Ulverston on Wednesday 29th October.
The day started at 10.00am with a varied programme of speakers plus topics.
Around 50 delegates from around Cumbria and North Lancashire listened and questioned speakers on topics such as South Lakeland Homelessness Strategy by Kevin Earl,Picking up the Pieces, Emma Hayman, Extra Care Housing Grant for Carlisle, Peter Woodhouse, The Matthew Taylor Report, Judith Derbyshire, The System, Colin Henderson and Supporting Young Tenants, Damien Morris.
Scrooge The Musical - During the last week in October, Ulverston Amateur Operatic Society presented Scrooge the Musical.
Derek and I went to see the show on the Thursday Evening. It was a full house in the Coronation Hall and everyone enjoyed the music, dancing and costumes. Congratulations to everyone involved, it was an excellent show with a real Christmas theme.
