PUPILS and staff at a school were given a big thank you by a key player in the lives of children in Lancashire.
Helen Denton, the newly appointed director of children’s services at Lancashire County Council, revisited Nether Kellet Primary School, near Carnforth, and met the children who helped to interview and appoint her for the post.
Twelve of the pupils from the school council went to Preston for the two-day interview process to ask each of the candidates challenging questions, which they had prepared at school.
