Any avid Rugby supporters will know by now, Kendal Rugby Union team played its first game of the new season last Saturday 6thSeptember.
I was lucky enough to be invited with my family to go along and watch.
After a delicious lunch in the club house (many thanks to all the hard working ladies in the kitchen) we found our places in the stand.
After settling down out of the reach of any threatening rain but with a good clear view we realised we were sat next to the opposition supporters. No matter a friendly lot from Darlington.
As the game started and Darlington gained the first 6 points they were all on a high, texting family members with the good news that a win was on its way. Very soon the tide turned and the Kendal Lads roared through winning 34 points to 13.
As each point came along, we as you can imagine, cheered and encouraged the lads on with some vigour leaving the visiting supporters under no doubt that The Mayor of Kendal was not a quiet retiring type! Well done to all and I look forward to watching the teams progress over the season, Good Luck.
