My first week has gone really quickly as I am sure the year will! I have now fully recovered from the sponsored walk I did from Keswick to Barrow on the 10th May; I walked to help raise funds for the Brewery pre-school. I am not sure of our grand total; I will have to let you know another time.
Wednesday saw me help Weatherspoons in their attempt to get in the Guinness book of World records. They were attempting to have the largest ever wine tasting event across the country, all went well, and the Miles Thompson managed to reach 45 tasters, when 25 was the required number.
Friday the 23rd I have the pleasure of visiting Workbase, I will let you know all about it over the weekend Please feel free to contact me; I am hoping to involve children and young people as much as I can this year, If you have an idea how, just let me know.
The Town Council chamber looks fantastic. Both of our secondary schools have lent some art work, to give us a taster of the creative skills our young people have. I am sure if you are passing the Town Hall and the door into the Town Council Chamber is open you will like what you see.
I will be practicing baking biscuits and cakes this weekend ready for the Kendal in Bloom coffee morning on the 31st, I am sure my children will enjoy the activity more than me; I am not one of life’s natural bakers! If you could help me out by donating some for the cake stall that would be most appreciated.
