[bold]Saturday 31st May[/bold] , 9.30am to 12 noon, I will be helping to serve coffee and tea in the Town Hall Bindloss room with the aim of raising money for this years Kendal In bloom. If you are able to help in any way from baking to raffle prizes or just by coming and spending some money we would love to see you.
The floral displays the Town Council put on last year where a fantastic enhancement to the Town, making it not just a beautiful place to visit but a beautiful place to live.
This year we are aiming to keep up the levels of planting and are trying to rope in help and interest from community groups and hopefully business sponsorship.
Any money we can raise will all go towards the various displays and may even allow us to expand the sites. If you would like to sponsor a basket or a tub etc we have sponsorships available from as little as £30 to as high as £150. A list of sponsors will be on display outside the Town hall, for larger sponsors their name will be included on that display.
[bold]Sunday 15th June[/bold] ; other than father’s day, will be the Mayors Sunday.
Traditionally this was a community event with a parade through the Town to the Parish Church with all sorts of groups and organisations taking part.
This year we would like to try to bring a little of that back.
If you belong to, help or know of a group/club of young people who would like to take part, please let us know at the Town Council office Tel: 717496
