Stopped over in Murdo . South Dakota. Reminded my of the town in Cars (that kids film) I was worried if we got pulled for speeding we would have had to stop and help build a road.
Sunday 10.00am we set off for our target area, a point where S/Dakota, N/Dakota, Wyoming and Montana meet. However the target area moved west and so did we (230 miles from the Canadian border). We had to go way up into Montana to intercept the approaching storm.

It was a monster of a storm and filled the whole horizon, even when 100 miles away. We filmed and followed but it didn't produce a tornado, it produced a nice wall cloud which can usually produce a tornado. It did also have monster size hail. the shower chased us up the road I had to put my foot down at one point just to keep in front of the main hail shafts. As it was we had half inch bouncing off our vehicle. The wind and lightning was also damaging and i had to drive over lots of debris as we watched the storm. The temperature drop was awsome it went from 90F to 50F in about 10 mins, We stopped to fill up and the gas station was pre-pay, the rain, wind and lignting flashing around and me in a tee shirt. We are now in Wyoming and it looks like we will need to go to Central/east Nebraska. today.
