As the Storm Prediction Centre forecasts any severe storms to develop in the northern plains we have had to set off in that direction and it is a two day hike. I have driven the first leg today, about 600 miles and we are now in Saline, Kansas. We drove up through Dallas, Oklahoma City and Wichita. We went through quite a few little biddy storms. The worst being in Oklahoma City itself and it was rush hour. I was glad to get to the other side of the city and the rain. As the sun was setting we went through the remainder of a couple of small storms. As we pulled up at the motel we knew we were going in the right direction because Dr Josh Worman and his team were also booking in. They have with them two of the 4 DOW trucks (Doppler on wheels) basically mobile radars. See photos.to follow Tomorrow we will have a 320 mile trip to be in the target area, South Dakota
