AS the last day of the season looms it’s great to be able to sit back and relax and watch other teams sweat it out for once.
With Everton’s European spot already in the bag the focus of attention will be on the likes of West Ham, Wigan, Sheffield United fighting relegation and Bolton, Portsmouth, Spurs and Reading vying for the other European places.
I’m off on Monday so I can digest all the final day ramifications and will be supping some mead to celebrate what has turned out to be a successful season.
My tip for relegation is West Ham – the reason being the Premier League will be desperate for them to go down so the saga over whether they should be deducted points blows over – so I’m sure there will be some dodgy goings on to make sure that happens.
On another note I was surprised to read a survey revealing how many times football fans think about their favourite team each day – and Everton came bottom.
I can assure the people who did the survey that I think about Everton more than 43 times a day even if that does seem sad. The problem is what am I going to fill the summer months with at the weekend without any football!!
