I have to say Liverpool were unlucky to lose last night's Champions League final against AC Milan.
The Italians' first goal - a deflection from a free kick - was lucky to say the least, while their second was on the cards after the game got stretched with Liverpool in search of an equaliser.
Liverpool lacked the killer instinct in front of goal, despite the best efforts of Kuyt, Gerrard and the rest, whereas Milan created fewer chances but took them when they came.
It was certainly an entertaining match, with both teams going for the win. The same cannot be said for the dull turn-off that was the FA Cup Final last Saturday. I can't remember such a drab final in recent years.
At times, the match resembled a testimonial rather than the climax to the football season. Chelsea and Man Utd should hold their heads in shame. I just hope next year's finalists play with a bit more passion.
