The iconic monument, standing tall over Ulverston, will be lit up purple tonight.
Ulverston Town Council has announced that the Sir John Barrow Monument will go purple for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD).
The day provides the opportunity for employers, disabled employees and allies to come together to jointly celebrate ‘purple talent’ and to highlight to the world the importance of disability inclusion across all sectors and industries.
