An accounting and advisory firm has reported significant revenue growth.
MHA, which has an office in Kendal, has released its first half-year financial update.
The firm reported revenues of £99 million for the six months ending September 30, 2024.
This is a 32 per cent increase from the £75 million in the first half of last year.
Nearly all of MHA's offices experienced significant double-digit growth in the first half of the year.
The firm expects to exceed £200 million in revenues for the full financial year 2025.
Revenue for MHA has doubled in the last four years from £90 million in 2020.
The growth was seen across all of MHA's service lines, with Audit & Assurance and Tax being the most significant.
The firm's top six sectors, including Financial Services, Consumer Products, Technology, and Automotive & Transport, also expanded.
The firm has grown its headcount significantly, adding two new Irish offices in July and bringing its total staff to 1,916 people across 23 offices with 147 partners.
The firm has welcomed 416 new starters and announced 270 promotions across the country since April 1.
In July, MHA announced a merger with Roberts Nathan to form a new firm, Baker Tilly in the Republic of Ireland.
The merger is expected to create 100 new jobs over the next two years.
In September, the firm welcomed a record 214 new trainees, almost doubling last year's intake of 130.
The firm anticipates this number will grow again significantly in 2025.
The new starters have training contracts at MHA offices across the UK and Ireland, including the new offices in Aberdeen, Cork, Dublin, and Edinburgh.
They will work across MHA's service lines of Audit & Assurance, Tax, and Advisory.
Rakesh Shaunak, group chairman and managing partner, said: "MHA has had a strong first six months of the financial year with growth coming both organically, as well as via our successful merger in Ireland.
"We will continue to move with purpose, pace and an ambitious growth mindset.
"We look confidently ahead to anticipated double-digit organic growth for the full financial year 2025 and beyond."
The growth reflects MHA's ambitious expansion strategy, which includes the merger with MHA Moore & Smalley and the opening of offices in Scotland and Wales for the first time in late 2023.
The firm has already received more than 8,500 applications since September for the Autumn 2025 start date, reflecting its popularity among aspiring accountants and advisors.
MHA is part of Baker Tilly International, a global network of independent accounting and business advisory firms.
