Ulverston driver given significant ban and fine for drug driving

A MOTORIST has received a lengthy ban after he was caught driving while nearly three times over a controlled drug limit.

Billy Wood, of Chestnut Grove, Ulverston, was stopped by road traffic officers in his Citroen Berlingo on May 1 earlier this year.

A590: Barrow man caused serious injury by dangerous driving - JAILED

A MAN will likely lose his job working for the Ministry of Defence after he was jailed for causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Preston Crown Court heard Lewis Uren, of Hawcoat Lane, Barrow, was driving his Volkswagen Polo on the A590 eastbound last year when he caused a ‘serious’ road traffic accident with one passenger on board, Preston Crown Court.

Barrow motorist caught driving whilst over three times drug limit

A MOTORIST from Barrow has been disqualified after he was caught driving while three-and-a-half times over a legal drug limit.

Kristen Downing, of Near Field Walk, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to drug driving with a proportion of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol over the specified limit.

Unlicensed Sedbergh driver over twice legal alcohol limit in Kendal

A DRINK driver has been banned after he was caught more than twice the legal alcohol limit in Kendal.

David Beaumont, of Mary Fell, Sedbergh, was stopped by road traffic officers on October 27 this year when driving his Ford Transit on Windermere Road.

A590: Ulverston woman caught nearly 3x over benzoylecgonine limit

A WOMAN caught drug driving on the A590 while nearly three times over the legal limit has been sentenced.

Rachel Christine Smith, of Market Street, Ulverston, was driving on the A590 near Meathop on May 16 this year when she was stopped by road traffic officers.

Ulverston teenager handed disqualification for drink driving on A590

A TEENAGER has been sentenced in court after he was caught driving while over twice the legal alcohol limit on the A590.

Harvey Gibbons-Rossall, of Birchwood Drive, Ulverston, admitted the offence at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on November 18.

Ulverston drink driver had 'large glass of wine' before crashing car

A WOMAN who drank a 'large glass of wine' before crashing her car has been sentenced for drink driving.

Jacqueline Harrison, of Town Hall Apartments, Ulverston, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to driving her Ford Puma while over the legal alcohol limit when she appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on November 27.
