Make the most of magical winter days with the five-star Langdale Chase in Windermere. From two-night retreats to cosy roasts and rosette-dining with friends, it’s time to get out and enjoy the change of season.

Flavours of The Lakes

Treat yourself to a relaxing two-night culinary stay.

On your first night, savour a fine-dining experience with distinctive dishes inspired by the Lake District and its coastline, perfectly complemented by a wine pairing tailored to your personal taste. All within the atmosphere of our elegant Dining Room with panoramic views over Windermere.

On the second day, the hotel invites you to enjoy an adventurous journey through the tale of Arthur Ransome’s beloved Swallows and Amazons.

The Afternoon Tea is a delightful nod to the culinary escapades of the novel’s young protagonists and its author. It also celebrates the artisans and craftspeople of the Lake District, with hand-thrown pottery and bespoke woodwork all crafted locally to present this beautiful arrangement of sandwiches and sweet treats.

Each morning begins with breakfast overlooking the lake, setting the tone for the day ahead, where you can do as much as you wish, or, of course, kick back and fine-tune the art of doing absolutely nothing.

Ready for more adventure? At an additional cost, a number of activities can be organised for guests to make the most of their stay. From archery to off-roading, paddle boarding to bushcraft, the team there has thought of everything.

Based on two people sharing, prices start from £443.00 per night.
