The Christmas tree lights in Lindal-in-Furness are being switched on by Father Christmas and the Gala Queen.
The switch-on will take place on The Green, and the special guests will arrive on a decorated tractor on Friday, November 29, at 5.55pm.
The festivities will continue at the Buccleuch Hall with the start of the Christmas Fair at 6pm.
Admission is £1, which includes tea or coffee and a mince pie.
Children can enter for free.
The fair will feature Santa's Grotto, a Rainbow Hamper Raffle, and a Christmas Chocolate Tombola, among other stalls.
The event is organised by St. Peter's Church.
