Windermere Lake Cruises is heading to India this month to promote tourism in the Lake District and Cumbria.
The company, known for its cruises on England's longest lake, will be showcasing the Lake District's beauty to tour operators in Bangalore.
Jennifer Cormack, sales and marketing director for Windermere Lake Cruises, said: "This is a significant and important step in securing our vibrant visitor economy going forward.
"Visitors from Asia and the Middle East are very important to our economy as they spend more on average than other visitors to the UK.
"While international travel here is recovering since the pandemic we need to build on that recovery."
During the visit, the company will meet leisure buyers from India, China, Japan, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
The trip follows visits to Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Europe earlier this year.
The Destination Britain trip to India, organised by the national tourism agency VisitBritain, is set to take place from November 20 to 22.
Cumbria Tourism will also be part of the trade mission.
Ms Cormack added: "This latest trade mission is part of our continuing efforts to encourage international visitors to add the English Lake District to their travel itineraries.
"I'm finding from experience that we get an incredible reaction from travel agents in cities across the globe.
"While traditionally their travel itineraries have featured only London and Edinburgh they are now adding the English Lake District.
"That's great news for the future of our visitor economy on which so many livelihoods depend."
