Work has started this week to tackle the 'growing demand for quality, affordable housing' in Grange-over-Sands.
South Lakes Housing shared on Thursday, November 14 that work was officially underway at their redevelopment of Yewbarrow Lodge off Main Street.
The former sheltered housing scheme is now in the process of being demolished to make way for 18 new homes, thanks to local contractor L&W Wilson.

A spokesperson from South Lakes Housing commented: "The demolition is just the beginning.
"We’re planning to start construction on the new homes next Spring, and we can’t wait to share more details as the project progresses."
Plans were given the go-ahead back in July this year, with £510,000 worth of council funding contributed to the demolition.
