Businesses in Ulverston are being encouraged to embrace the Victorian lifestyle as part of the Dickensian Festival.
The returning event is taking place on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24, though shops and cafes can get involved in the run-up to the festivities.
The Dickensian Shop Window competition has returned for 2024, with businesses competing to have the best festive display in town.
As part of the festival next weekend, the Mayor of Ulverston, Councillor Graham Scrogham, will be casting his eye over all the submissions and choosing his winner.
Both the ultimate champion and the runner-up will be handed certificates for their success, which they will be able to proudly display all year long.
