Firefighters from Carnforth and Bolton-Le-Sands stations battled a milk tanker HGV on fire yesterday evening (November 13).
The incident happened around 20:12pm between the village of Over Kellet and Carnforth.
A spokesperson for Carnforth Fire Station said: "We closed the road in both directions to allow firefighting and a safe working area.
"We used a hosereel jet, lighting, small tools and a thermal imaging camera to help put the fire out.
"We returned to station at 22:45pm."
