CUMBRIA Police are appealing for witnesses after a two-vehicle collision on the A591 at Troutbeck Bridge, near Windermere.
Officers are investigating the crash which involved a blue Porsche Macan and a black Hyundai i20 just before 9pm on Wednesday.
The driver of the Hyundai, a man, sustained serious injuries. He was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital where he remains.
The driver of the Porsche did not sustain any serious injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any other information that may assist should contact officers on 101, referring to incident 212 of November 13.
