Christmas has arrived in Ulverston after the tree was set up in the town centre this week.
Ulverston Town Council shared the update on Tuesday, November 12, announcing that the tree had been set up ahead of the annual switch-on event.
The tree has been supplied by Stribers Farm, a local business found in Haverthwaite, and West Lakes Electrical assisted the organisers in making sure the tree was put up securely.
Residents will have seen a 20-foot crane in action to bring the tree to its full height, as well as assisting with lights and further decorations.
This year, a number of schools from the surrounding area have created the decorations, which are Sandside Lodge, Sir John Barrow School, Church Walk CE Primary, and UVHS.
The official Christmas light switch-on will take place on Saturday, November 23 as part of the Dickensian Festival.
