A new housing development in Kirkby Lonsdale is expected to benefit the economy by £4million.
Russell Armer Homes, the sister brand of Genesis Homes, has announced unprecedented interest in its upcoming Lunesdale Rise development, receiving more than 350 pre-launch enquiries.
The development will consist of 34 new homes.
The construction at Lunesdale Rise has already begun, and the first homes are expected to be released in the new year.
John Blue, land and sales director at Genesis Homes, said: "We are delighted, but not surprised, by the huge interest in Lunesdale Rise in the highly desirable town of Kirkby Lonsdale even ahead of our sales launch, given the great success of our Oakfield Park development.
"It is an exciting time for us to be bringing more high specification, energy efficient homes to an area which has been identified as in need of substantial new housing."
Lunesdale Rise will consist of a mix of two to four-bedroom homes, with 13 of the 34 properties designated as affordable housing for residents.
As part of the development, Genesis Homes will invest £221,000 worth of improvements to footpaths linking nearby housing developments to facilities, including Queen Elizabeth School.
Mr Blue said: "The local communities we build new homes in are always at the forefront of our considerations.
"We listen to the needs of the areas in which we build, and we’re delighted to be able to improve the safety of the footpaths for local schoolchildren as part of this exciting project."
