Drivers will have nine National Highways roadworks to watch out for this week.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A590, from 8pm October 14 to 4pm November 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 eastbound and westbound, Elliscales Roundabout to High and Low Newton Bypass, Lane one closures and traffic signals for Wildflower cut and collect at all sites.

• A590, from 7.30am November 4 to 6.30pm December 2, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): A590 northbound and southbound, Lightburn Road, Swarthmoor, traffic signals and Lane closure for gas mains replacement.

And a further seven set of roadworks will begin over the next two weeks:

• M6, from 7am November 11 to 5pm November 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 northbound and southbound, junction 37, Lane closure and full closures for cattle grid repairs.

• A590, from 6.30pm November 12 to 5am November 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 eastbound and westbound, Newby Bridge, traffic Lights for Fibrus works.

• A590, from 7.30am to 3.30pm on November 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 eastbound, Backbarrow, traffic signals for electrical works to pedestrian crossing.

• A590, from 9.30am November 13 to 3.30pm November 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 westbound, Heaves Lodge, Lane closure for Virgin media works

• A590, from 7pm November 13 to 4am November 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 eastbound and westbound, Greenodd, traffic signals for BT works.

• A590, from 7am November 18 to 7pm November 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 eastbound, just prior to Newby Bridge Roundabout, Lane closure for BT works.

• A590, from 7pm November 19 to 5am November 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 eastbound and westbound, Haverthwaite, traffic Lights for Fibrus works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
