A spokesperson from South Lakeland Phoenixes said: "Registration is a significant step forward and will enable us to engage with a broader range of stakeholders to deliver expanded mental health peer support services to people living in Grange over Sands and the South Lakes."
Affiliated with The Lighthouse Community Mental Health Hub, the group hosts regular drop-in sessions at the Community Foodstore on Main Street.
These weekly meetings allow people to talk about 'anything and everything' to 'regular' members of the public who want to provide support to those who need it.
