If you're looking for things to do with the kids this half-term, South Cumbria has many events running from now to the beginning of November.
The spooky season is upon us and as such, there plenty of creepy and creative events to attend.
If your looking for non-scary events however, there are also a plethora of outdoors, educational and entertaining events of all varieties.

The Brockhole Halloween Experience - October 26 - November 3

Halloween Pumpkin Carving - October 26 - 31
Allan Bank, Grasmere, Ambleside
Have a go at carving a spooky pumpkin this half-term at Allan Bank.
With 30 minute bookable slots from 10am until 2.45pm, the pumpkins are cleaned and ready to carve.
£3 per pumpkin + standard admission to the house. £7.50 adult, £3.75 child.

Orchestra of Objects - October 27- 28 (Shows at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm)

The Bubble Show - October 31 (2pm)

Nature Makers South Cumbria - October, 31

Swarthmoor Hall,If you’re looking for something a little different to do, why not go along to the Halloween Art & Craft Party at Swarthmoor Hall for Nature Makers' Halloween Arts and Crafts party?
Participants get to go on a pumpkin hunt, decorate them afterwards and make mini brooms, spiders and webs and much more.

The Dock Museum, Dock Museum, North Road, Barrow-in-Furness
This half term, visit the Dock Museum for it science workshop 'what is light?'
Children can make their own Kaleidoscope and learn all about light.
The workshop is free, just drop in.
