Aldi colleagues have raised £40,000 for charity by cycling 9,500 miles in one day.
10 stores in Cumbria took part in the 'cyclothon', covering the distance from Aldi's regional distribution centre in Darlington to Australia to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust.
A total of 850 colleagues took part in the challenge, with bikes and donation points set up in stores to collect funds.
Gyms, including Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre, JD Gyms, and Pure Gym, assisted in making the event possible.
Teenage Cancer Trust is Aldi's charity partner, offering 'specialised nursing care and support' for young people aged 13-24 battling cancer.
Sandy Mitchell, managing director of Aldi’s Darlington region, said: "We are immensely proud of our colleagues in Cumbria for taking on this challenge and their fundraising efforts are commendable.
"Teenage Cancer Trust provide invaluable care and guidance to young people who are in such difficult situations and the work they do is so important."
Since the partnership started in 2017, Aldi employees nationwide have helped to raise more than £10 million for the charity and Aldi aims to raise £15 million by 2027.
Ellie Rocks, deputy director of fundraising at Teenage Cancer Trust, said: "Aldi is an incredible partner to Teenage Cancer Trust, and we are so grateful to be working with them.
"We want to say a special thank you to all the colleagues who took part and showed their support – their commitment and enthusiasm is exceptional."
