Westmorland Homecare’s South Lakeland branch is organising the 'No Trick, Just Treat' event for the Cumbria half-term holiday, in aid of Kendal charity Manna House.

The event is free to enter, and the branch encourages attendees to bring along items of which Manna House is in need.

The charity provides support to the homeless and vulnerably housed in South Lakeland.

Toiletries, coffee, sugar, and warm waterproof clothing will all be gratefully accepted - and in return, children can receive Halloween colouring packs, treats, and even a transferable Halloween tattoo.

Charlotte Oram of Westmorland Homecare’s South Lakeland branch said: "It is all part of our push to give back to the local and immediate community and ties in with the company’s ethos of supporting vulnerable people.

"We are calling [the event] ‘No Trick, Just Treat’ because there is no catch: people will be giving something to support their community and we will be giving back with light-hearted fun and treats."

The event will run in the reception area at 18 Highgate from 10am to 4pm, from Monday, October 28 to Friday, November 1.

Although dressing up is not obligatory, attendees are encouraged to come in Halloween costumes.
