Two community events this week will attempt to tackle litter 'grot spots' in a town in south Cumbria.
The autumn community litter picks will take place in Ulverston on Thursday, October 24 and the Croftlands area on Saturday, October 26.
Organised by Ulverston Town Council, they are hoping that plenty of people will come out and show their support as they look to tidy up the region.
The first event will see people meet at The Kings Garden at the corner of North Lonsdale Terrace and Kingsway with the litter pick lasting from 2pm until 3.30pm.
The second event will start at 10.30am and last until noon with those interested encouraged to meet at the Croftlands shops.
Equipment and refreshments will be provided, and supervised children are also welcome.
Residents, if unable to attend, are still being asked to help out by identifying areas they believe are in need of tidying, which you can do by using the online form here.
