A BIKER died in hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a crash on the A683.
The motorbike rider, a 51-year-old man, was taken by air ambulance to hospital after Monday's crash but died on Tuesday despite 'the best efforts of medical personnel.'
Sergeant Joe Ghigi, of Lancashire Police, said: “First and foremost, my thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this very sad and distressing time."
The emergency services were called at 1.20pm to the A683 at Burrow near Kirkby Lonsdale after a bike had collided with a Land Rover Freelander.
Sergeant Ghigi added: "As we investigate what happened, we want to appeal for witnesses or to anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam footage from around the time of the collision.
“This is a rural area but there will have been vehicles using the road.”
