FLOOD warnings are still in place for eight area's in Cumbria following Storm Ashley over the weekend.

There are eight flood warnings and six flood alerts across Cumbria, according to the Environment Agency this morning, October 20.

Flood Warnings

  • Cumbrian coastline from Silloth to St Bees including Maryport, Flimby, Workington and Whitehaven
  • Cumbrian coastline from Silloth to St Bees, between Allonby and Whitehaven
  • Cumbrian coastline from St Bees Head to Haverigg, along the coast from North Head to Haverigg
  • Cumbrian coastline at Barrow in Furness, around Biggar, Rampside and Vickerstown
  • Cumbrian coastline at Barrow in Furness, between North and South Walney, Cavendish and Ramsden Docks
  • Cumbrian coastline at North Morecambe Bay, along the coast from Roosebeck to Carnforth
  • Cumbrian coastline from Gretna to Silloth, between Longtown and Skinburness
  • Cumbrian coastline from Gretna to Silloth including Port Carlisle, Skinburness and Rockcliffe

A flood warning means that flooding is expected so you should act now.
