A CONVICTED sex offender has admitted new sex-related offences.

Carl McCracken, of Bela Avenue, Milnthorpe, appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court from custody on October 17.

The 51-year-old pleaded guilty to five counts of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, three counts of making indecent photographs and two counts of failing to comply with the requirements of the sex offenders register.

With his guilty plea, McCracken confessed to using Snapchat and deleting messages; creating a TikTok account that has the ability to share files; failing to disclose Apple iCloud and cloud storage accounts, as well as failing to disclose cloud storage on a Google account.

McCracken further admitted to failing to register an Instagram and TikTok username.

The court heard McCracken was given a SHPO prevention order with eight separate conditions and told to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years after being jailed for two years in 2016.

The defendant also falls to be sentenced for making four category A images of a child, five category B images and eight category C images.

The charges show the offences took place in Milnthorpe between May 30 2020 and August 31 2024.

Magistrates declined jurisdiction and sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court where McCracken will next appear on November 14.

They granted the defendant unconditional bail.
