One of the founding members of a south Cumbrian institution returned to where it all began last week for its 35th anniversary.
Clarissa Kavanagh joined the team at St Mary's Hospice for their 'Hospice Through The Lens' event in Barrow on Friday, October 11.
Hosted in tandem with Hospice Care week, the photo exhibition was designed to reflect on the history of the charity, inviting guests to travel across the past 35 years.
The display also featured roughly 1,000 paper cranes created by members of the public, designed to represent 'good fortune' for all those involved.
Mrs Kavanagh, working alongside Lord Cavendish, Reverend Nick Gosswin, and Margaret Berry, came up with the vision to create a hospice for the county in 1984.
Within four years, the group managed to raise £600,000, which was used to bring St Mary's to life.
