POLICE have asked drivers to be 'considerate' when parking their vehicles in a Lake District town - as pedestrians are having to use the road due to cars blocking pavements and driveways.
Allerdale police have issued a reminder to drivers when parking their vehicles in the area of Manor Brow, Keswick - after the area has become 'unsafe' for pedestrians who have had to use the road due to pavements and driveways being blocked.
In a statement on social media, Allerdale police said: "We would like to remind drivers to be considerate when parking your vehicles in the area of Manor Brow, Keswick.
"Recently we have seen an increase in drivers parking blocking the pavements and driveways, meaning pedestrians are having to use the road, which is unsafe.
"Drivers who continue to do this will be subjected to fines under Unnecessary Obstruction. Drivers may also face having their vehicles seized if the blockage is deemed dangerous."
