A restaurant in the Lake District featured on a prime-time TV show.
Kevin and Nicola Tickle, co-owners of Heft, in Newton In Cartmel, appeared on Rick Stein's Food Stories on Thursday, October 3, broadcast on BBC2 at 7pm.
The show follows Rick's culinary adventure around Great Britain, exploring the food we love to eat today.
During the show, Rick paid a visit to the Lake District, meeting locally born and raised Michelin-starred chef Kevin Tickle, who is known for his love of foraging.
Rick spent time in Heft's kitchen with Mr Tickle, as he prepared a wild venison and mushroom dish.
Lakes such a unique place to be.

During his time in Cumbria, Rick also met Herdwick sheep farmer and author James Rebanks and visited an old friend on Morecambe Bay, who is the custodian of a secret recipe for the best potted shrimps.
He then journeyed to Yorkshire, discovering the story of Yorkshire pudding and visiting the UK’s largest tofu factory.
The series aims to capture the essence of British cuisine today, with each dish having its own unique story.
