A woman was taken to hospital after slipping and hurting her leg while walking Coniston Old Man.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team was called out to a couple who were descending from the summit of the Old Man on the southerly path.
The team received notification of their 60th incident of 2024 at 12.50pm on Monday October 7.
The woman slipped, injured her ankle and was unable to walk.
Cumbria Police contacted the rescue team who dispatched all three of their Land Rovers along the Walna Scar track.
After getting as far as they could drive, the team continued on foot.
An assessment was made, the woman was given strong pain relief and her leg was splinted.
The team was then able to carry the casualty down on to the vehicles on a stretcher.
A land ambulance met them at Coniston Mountain Rescue base and took the woman to Furness General Hospital for treatment.
The incident lasted three hours and 30 minutes and was attended by 15 volunteer team members.
